New Hires Mark Significant Milestone in Building Fort Worth EDP Economic Development Team
Fort Worth, Texas—The Fort Worth Economic Development Partnership (Fort Worth EDP) today announced the hiring of Spencer Mitchell as Vice President of Economic Development and Katie McConnell as Associate. These additions mark a significant milestone in building the Fort Worth EDP team just a year and a half since the organization’s founding.
“Doing great economic development work requires having a great economic development team,” said Robert Allen, President & CEO of the Fort Worth EDP. “Recently, we welcomed Chelsea Griffith as Vice President of Investor Relations. And last year, we hired Jessia Heer as Executive Vice President. Today, we are pleased to welcome Spencer Mitchell and Katie McConnell to our team, further strengthening our ability to deliver top-tier economic development services. Spencer and Katie bring a wealth of experience and energy, and they are already making an impact.”
As Vice President of Economic Development, Spencer Mitchell, a certified economic developer, oversees business attraction and recruitment. Prior to joining the Fort Worth EDP, he served as the Director of Incentives for the Tulsa Authority for Economic Opportunity, where he was responsible for the implementation of the City of Tulsa’s incentive programs, including Tax Increment Financing, Tax Abatements, Revolving Loan Funds, and infrastructure funds for business recruitment.
Katie McConnell is an Associate for the Fort Worth EDP, overseeing regulatory and legal compliance, as well as supporting investor relations and economic development projects. Prior to joining the organization, Katie earned her J.D. from The University of Texas School of Law, where she studied legal matters relating to government and international law. During her last semester of law school, Katie interned with the Fort Worth EDP.
