Last June, Farmer Brothers Co. sold its direct ship business for around $100 million, along with its sprawling home across from the Texas Motor Speedway. Now it’s Panther City-bound.
Nine months after selling its direct ship business to TreeHouse Foods for roughly $100 million, Northlake-based coffee roaster and distributor Farmer Brothers Co. is moving to a new HQ in Fort Worth.
The 112-year-old company has signed a 54-month lease on a 25,000-square-foot space at 14501 N. Freeway, which will be home to the Farmer Brothers executive team and around 125 to 150 members of its support staff. The building at that location, seen below, is the former U.S. headquarters of Switzerland-based pharmaceutical and skin care company Galderma, which relocated to downtown Dallas’ Trammell Crow Center two years ago.

“As we continue to focus on direct store delivery and right-size our organization, we wanted to find a location that would more efficiently meet our current business needs while still giving us the opportunity to grow,” Farmer Brothers President and CEO John Moore said in a statement. “We feel fortunate to have found Laa’s location in close proximity to our previous headquarters, which checked all the boxes.”
Moore, who was previously the company’s head of coffee, was named CEO in January.
Farmer Brother moved to Northlake in 2017. The move was a relocation from California, where the company had been based since its founding in 1912.
Sold its previous HQ as part of the TreeHouse deal
As part of the TreeHouse Foods deal, Farmer Brothers sold its previous 540,000-square-foot Northlake headquarters, roasting, and distribution facility last June. The company said it has since “transitioned and centralized” its roasting operations to its facility in Portland, Oregon.
Farmer Brothers said it plans to move into its new Fort Worth headquarters by the end of its fiscal 2024 year. Here’s a look at its former HQ in Northlake.
