Embraer’s new MRO facility at Perot Field Alliance Airport brings $70 million in investment, 250 new jobs, and expanded aviation services—further cementing Fort Worth’s aerospace leadership.

Fort Worth is once again solidifying its status as the Aviation and Aerospace Capital of Texas. On June 24, Embraer, a global leader in aerospace innovation, officially launched operations at its new Commercial Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) facility at Perot Field Alliance Airport Fort Worth. This milestone marks a significant milestone for Embraer, the region’s aerospace sector, and for local workforce growth.
The facility, opened in partnership with Hillwood, the City of Fort Worth, and the State of Texas and begins operations in a pre-existing hangar while construction of a second, state-of-the-art hangar is underway and expected to be completed in 2027. This strategic expansion, announced in October of last year, represents a $70 million investment and is expected to generate around 250 new high-skill aviation jobs in North Texas.
Embraer’s new MRO site will boost its service capacity in the U.S. by over 50%, enhancing support for its commercial jet fleet nationwide. This Fort Worth location becomes Embraer’s 13th owned service center globally, adding to a network of over 80 service sites worldwide.

The expansion is being praised as a model for public-private collaboration. “Their investment underscores Fort Worth’s strength as a center of aerospace excellence,” said Bill Burton, EVP at Hillwood. Robert Allen, CEO of the Fort Worth Economic Development Partnership, echoed the sentiment, noting that this move is “just the latest example of how Fort Worth is the place to start, build, or expand a business.”
With this latest development, Fort Worth is flying even higher—welcoming new jobs, innovation, and global recognition as a premier aerospace destination.
