The details
According to its website, the business turns former passenger planes into cargo planes and it is located inside Perot Field Fort Worth Alliance Airport.
The lease was amended to add 21,200 square feet of space in Building No. 11 in the airport during the Fort Worth City Council meeting Jan. 13. The previous lease was signed Feb. 15, 2024, according to city documents.
Breaking it down
The increase gives Mammoth Freighters 93,487 square feet for a part of a warehouse, according to city documents.
The revised rent starts at $2 per square foot through 2028 and goes up to $2.25 for 2028-31 and then $2.50 for 2031-32. The contract ends on Feb. 14, 2034, according to city documents.
The yearly rent breakdown per year is as follow:
- Jan. 15-Feb. 14, 2028: $186,947
- Feb. 15, 2028-Feb. 14, 2031: $210,345.75
- Feb. 15, 2031-Feb. 14, 2032: $53,000
- Feb. 15, 2032-Feb. 14, 2034: $233,717.50
According to city documents, part of the lease was a tenant credit that allows for a reduced base rent for 12 months for 2031-32, which saves the company $180,717.50.
