Fort Worth Economic Development Partnership Wins Mac Conway Award for Excellence in Economic Development

Site Selection Honors Fort Worth EDP with Prestigious Award

Fort Worth, Texas—The Fort Worth Economic Development Partnership today announced it had been chosen by Site Selection magazine as the recipient of the 2025 Mac Conway Award for Excellence in Economic Development. This is the most prestigious award given to economic development organizations.  The Fort Worth EDP is one of 20 economic development organizations across the country to win the award.

“This recognition is the latest example of why we created the Fort Worth Economic Development Partnership – to bring high quality projects to our city,” said Fort Worth Mayor Mattie Parker. “The EDP is leading our efforts to promote Fort Worth as the best place to do business in the country, and they’re just getting started.”

“We are honored to see the Fort Worth Economic Development Partnership recognized as one of the recipients of the Mac Conway Award for Excellence in Economic Development,” said Robert Allen, President and CEO of the Fort Worth EDP. “To see the Fort Worth EDP recognized as one of the top economic development organizations in the country, less than two years after its creation, is a testament to all involved in its creation and to the team who work tirelessly every day to position Fort Worth as the most vibrant and sustainable city in the United States.  This honor is proof that people are noticing that Fort Worth is the place to do business.”

The award is named in honor of Conway Data and Site Selection founder H. McKinley “Mac” Conway, a pioneer in the field of economic development. It recognizes the efforts of those who achieve great results in bringing economic projects to their communities. Winning organizations of the Mac Conway Award are determined by a robust index that is balanced one-third each across Conway Data/Site Selection corporate facility project, investment and jobs numbers across the country (cumulative and per capita); the

nationwide 2025 Milken Institute Best Performing Cities Index; and the nationwide 2025 Most Dynamic Cities report from Heartland Forward.

Since its creation in 2023, the FWEDP has secured several significant economic development projects in Fort Worth, including a $630 million investment from Bell to build the Future Long Range Assault Aircraft, a $190 million investment in a new tech manufacturing facility for Siemens, and a $70 million capital investment from Embraer in a facility at AllianceTexas.
